Back4Good Programme

The Back4Good® Programme has been developed by Body Control Pilates for the management of low back pain, following guidelines from the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) which has recommended that appropriate exercise, taught by professionally trained teachers should now play a key role in the treatment and management of low back pain. The Back4Good® Programme fully meets those recommendations.  

More than 80% of the adult population in the UK have low back pain at some time in their life. Back pain is one of the most common reasons why people take time off work, causing anxiety and distress since quality of life often suffers, although in most people with back pain, the pain does not represent a serious medical condition. The Back4Good Programme can help get your life back on track through gentle and effective exercises specifically developed for the management of low back pain. The Back4Good Programme receives clients who have been referred by a GP or medical practitioner, or you can self refer. The Back4Good Programme can be delivered on a one-to-one basis or in small group sessions.

As a Back4Good® Practitioner, I am also a Body Control Pilates teacher and have successfully completed comprehensive additional training on the subject of low back pain. The course has been accredited by SkillsActive and I am registered on the Register of Exercise Professionals at Level 4 status, and by BackCare, the national charity for healthier backs.

Healthy Back Classes

Healthy Back classes to help you prevent the onset of low back pain and also manage low back pain following the Back4Good Programme or other rehabilitation programme you have followed. Healthy Back classes are open to anyone who has or is susceptible to low back pain and wants to take a proactive approach in self managing their problem.
